June 2012

Dear Friends,

I trust this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the early days of summer!  Ahh, summer!  Memories of those endless days of sun, fun, dreaming and freedom to explore and imagine, like only a kid can do!  Now that we are “adults,” doesn’t mean we have to stop doing that.  God wants us to dream, imagine, and explore with Him. There is so much that we have yet
to tap into!  So much yet to do, but it is not to be a thing of pressure, but of joy, and excitement and FUN.  Life in this world tries to zap our joy and creativity and actually sap the Life of God out of us.  But, there is Life, Peace and Joy with God. His Word says so:

Psalm 16:11 (BBE)  You will make clear to me the way of life; where you are joy is complete; in your right hand there are pleasures for ever and ever.

Romans 14:17 (AMP)  [After all] the kingdom of God is not a matter of [getting the] food and drink [one likes], but instead it is righteousness (that state which makes a person acceptable to God) and [heart] peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

As we go through our days, working, and cleaning and doing all of the “dailies” that life consists of, let us not forget that there is a bigger picture, and even the mundane of the day, fits into the bigger scope of things.  Sometimes we just need to stir ourselves up, release that childlike sense of adventure again and look for creative ways to push out of the box and routine that has become “rut”!  Do not become dull of hearing, for He has things to say and words to speak that you need to hear.  However, they may not come down the avenue that you would choose, or look for!  Sometimes the messenger is a 2 yr old child that brings you a message from God in the form of a question!  Other times He will have a scripture speak to your heart. Listen with ears that are tuned to Heaven’s frequency and hearts that are set on things Eternal.
Overseas, our ministers go about daily living much as we do; some basic things are the same and some are very different. They daily believe God for the very basic of their needs to be met and for ministry doors to be opened.  However, they deal with varying conditions that we may never even consider!  Yet they determine to live their lives serving the Living God and proclaiming Jesus, even at the peril of their own lives sometimes.  It is a joy to my heart to watch God moving and opening doors in these countries, and to encourage and play a part in the expansion of the Kingdom!  Your continued support of all that Heart n Hands endeavors to do, has a far greater impact than you may ever imagine.
Back in 2003, a young minister approached Tom and me, asking for our help, asking for our love and guidance, such as “parents” would give.  We entered into a relationship with him.  Today, Pastor Benjamin in Uganda has a far-reaching ministry and he has sent this update:
“Mama, here is the information about Jesus Christian Centre and all its branches.  In Uganda:
1.JCC in Busega (The mother church) is pastored by Me and Grace. 2.JCC in Bulopa is pastored by Bifuna Enock.3.JCC in Ntungamo is pastored by Byarugaba Asaph. 4.JCC in Mpigi. is pastored by Nakanwagi Betty.  The Kenya JCC Bishop is Isaac Khaemba.  Mama he now over sees 7 Churches in Kenya! 1. He pastors JCC in Tulumba, Kenya. 2.JCC Kaya Church, Pastor Leonard Wanyonyi. 3JCC Kabachenje Church, Pastor Tobias Wakesa. 4.Kimwanga Church, Pastor Festus Wabwire. 5.Muanda Church. Pastor George Wanjala. 6.JCC Chebukaka Church, Pastor Silas Murefu. 7.JCC Teso Church, Pastor Emanuel.” We give GOD the GLORY!
Pastor P in Pakistan reports: “My wife has safely given birth on May 25th via c-section to our 2nd son: David!  Also, on May 27th we held a wonderful Pentecost Revival meeting.  Praise the Lord there were 10 Churches involved with us in this event to Celebrate this event ( the Birthday of the Church).  There was really a tremendous anointing and Spirit of Lord was really moving upon the crowd, many people received the Baptism of Holy Spirit and began to pray in tongues and delivered from bondages which holds them back from Lord. We have counted about 2000 people gathered there… Additionally, we have started to focus and target the youth, I am expecting a great release of Holy Spirit, so please pray and fast, as fast as you can for the Revival in Pakistan. Amen.”   He added: “Also please pray for my family as you know from my previous email, that the Lord has given us a baby boy through C section (operation) so I have to pay the huge bill to Hospital about 70,000 rupees [$755.00 US$] for the operation charges, medicines charges and laboratory charges and other Charges.  Thank you Mom.”
Pastor Titus in India reports that he traveled to Chennai via train to preach for 2 days. His train fare was provided by a believer, Praise God! While there, he held outreach to 3 villages with 58 salvations (with cards filled out for follow up.) Additionally he visited two additional facilities as possible rentals for the branch ministry there.  One is a house that can hold meetings, accommodating about 50 people as well as house 10 Bible School students. The other is a hall.  Both require a security payment. 60,000 Indian Rupees for the hall, ($1100 US) and 50,000 for the house (only $909 US) Rent is the same: 9000 Rupees a month ($165.00).  Also, the remaining amount to complete our land purchase in Madurai is 300,000 rupees ($6,000.) Here are pictures: ”

This is where we plan to build the ministry compound, with a Bible School Center! Isn’t it beautiful?!!
Please pray along with us on these expansions and growth of the Kingdom!
We are excited indeed.  God is so good!
We Praise God for all He has done and continues to do!  We thank Him for YOU and ask that He Bless you richly. In Jesus Name.  Amen.
Love,   Nancy, Tom and the Board
