Feb News Mission Trip Planning!

Dear Family,

I greet you in the Name of Jesus and wish you a very Happy Valentine’s Day. What is it that makes people endure horrific trials of their faith and in terrible circumstances?   I think of those who risked their lives and were burned alive at the stake, just because they dared to translate the Bible into something the common man could read!  I think of modern day martyrs living in foreign lands subjected to harsh conditions and threats of death daily for claiming and naming the Name of Jesus as their own. Even Valentine’s Day reminds us that there was a man who is now considered a Saint- who risked his life to share the love of Christ. Even with the Emperors daughter!  So let us share His love every day.

2Cor 4:18  Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting. (GNB)  For we fix our attention, not on things that are seen, but on things that are unseen. What can be seen lasts only for a time, but what cannot be seen lasts forever.

We are continuing on with looking at what can’t be seen.  Let’s think about things you can’t see.  1.The wind.  Jesus mentioned this.  You don’t know where it comes from or where it goes. You can only feel it and see it’s effects upon the landscape.  2. Love!  What is this mysterious thing called love?  You can’t see it. But you can see it’s affect upon people’s hearts and how they respond when the heart is full of love. 3. Life.  What is this essence we call life?  We know if the heart stops, and the organs shut down, the body ceases to function as it was intended … but one can make organs function on machines, so it isn’t just the functioning, but there is something – a “spark” that we call life, that when it leaves the body, it goes back to God who gave it.  But we can’t actually “see’ it in it’s raw form, at least not here on earth.   4. Electricity!  We can’t see it, but we see what it produces: LIGHT! ENERGY! We can see the effects of these things. But we can’t see the things themselves, can we?  That’s kind of how it is with spiritual things.  We see the results, we see manifestations.  But unless God opens our eyes to see what can’t be seen, then so many things are left unseen.  But HE tells us in Jeremiah 33:3 to call to Him, and He WILL show us great and mighty things that we know not.  He invited us to  reach out to Him and take him up on his offer to see.  SO what is holding you back?   Ask Him to show you great and mighty things.  Just be prepared to be patient and wait!  God invited Moses up to the mountain to meet with Him. But it wasn’t until DAYS later that God showed up.  Now He was probably there all the time, but cloaked and Moses had to wait.  Maybe God was waiting on Moses to get his head together and be ready to meet with Him!  On the other hand, as one minister suggested to me, maybe it took that long to get the world off of him and out of Moses’ thoughts so he could focus.  But this is not our only invitation. HE invites to His Throne of Grace also.  So, see, you DO have a standing invitation!  I just wonder how many of us are standing God up though?  Oh Lord, help me to not be a no show!

I have wonderful reports to share. I have preached in Nigeria! At a church called Supreme Faith Ministries, in the Kogi State.  This was via mobile phone.  My spiritual son Gideon who now lives in Gambia, came back to visit his home church where he was saved so many years ago.  He contacted he and asked me to call and speak to the church and leaders and encourage them.  Miracle is, the line connected and stayed open for the entire time I spoke!  It was crystal clear too!  The church wants me to come and minister in person this April, and plans are under way!

Another son in Nigeria is hosting a women’s conference also in May, and would like me to incorporate that into the trip as well and speak to the women! Plus I have 3 churches in Abuja to visit and bless, and our son Olu in Ibandan to try and connect with!!! There are a lot of details to be worked out yet.  Work has given me their approval for my time off!  Praise God, Thank YOU Lord! So please pray for timing, finances and safety, as Nigeria is not as safe now, as it was when I went there in 2004.  I am very excited about this trip.

This little church has faced some severe set backs as the Pastor, Pastor’s son and Assoc. Pastor all died with in a short time of each other.  The wife of the senior pastor, who died, is holding things together.  I was their first speaker from outside Africa, and it touched their hearts and brought them hope.  My message was strong. It is posted on the “Africa Letters” page on the Ministry Teaching Blog.  Also, I hope to publish either the audio or video online also.

Ben held Supernatural Sunday on Jan. 20th and the Presence of God was so strong in the building!  The church was filled to capacity of 500 and there were many healings and demons cast out of the people.  Here is what he wrote to me:  This Sunday was so glorious! It’s like a cloud of glory embraced the whole Church, The Spirit of the Lord was so HEAVY in the Service,  And demons couldn’t stand, They had to leave people's lives, Sickness had to vanish-it was real chaos, I remembered your vision and I was in awe!!!!!!.” (I had a vision of water flowing out from the altar at JCC and as it reached the door to go outside it began to build into a wave and became a huge tidal wave that went from the church compound, crossed the street and flooded into the village and literally smashed into all the buildings of the village. Those that had tightly shut their doors against the Lord could not withstand the glory-the water went into every crack and crevice and the glory and water filled everywhere!  I had this vision back in 2005 as I ministered from the floor, because I couldn’t stand because the anointing was so strong. This is the vision he is referring to.)

There are many things that have been in my heart for a long time, some only God knows about.  I have watched Him cause things come to pass that I desperately wanted to see happen and wanted to do. Not all of them were meant for me to do, but HE honored the desire in my heart and has brought them to pass. For example, a medical mission team.  I could not pull one together, and it was strong in my heart, so He sent one to Kampala who asked around what church would host them and was sovereignly directed to Ben’s church!  There are other things also.  God is doing it. And, He is only getting started!  There are Dream Seeds that are lying dormant in some of your lives also, but the Wind is stirring and God is divinely calling them to come forth. NOW IS the time! So begin to look at and for the unseen, and call it forth into the seen realm. Trust in His timing and His love for you.  He is about to manifest impossibilities!  In Jesus Name, Amen.

2Cor 4:1  Therefore, since we do hold and engage in this ministry by the mercy of God [granting us favor, benefits, opportunities, and especially salvation], we do not get discouraged (spiritless and despondent with fear) or become faint with weariness and exhaustion. God has been kind enough to trust us with this work. That's why we never give up!

Thank you for your continued partnership with us.  Eight boxes full of your donations will soon be winging their way to Uganda!  Ben’s house now has a roof on it and windows in. Crusades are happening monthly all over Uganda.  And many doors of opportunity are beginning to open up to me and Tom.  Some are locally, some internationally.  Please keep us in your prayers. New things are on the horizon, Glory to God!  God Bless you and keep you and cover you with His Grace.
