Hope or expectation that is deferred is hard to endure! Meaning that your hope is drawn out, drawn away
from you, it is scattered, prolonged, delayed, postponed to some (unknown
unforeseeable) future date, and or even removed from you. When that happens, it has this affect or
result; it makes your heart sick. Your heart, (meaning or representative of your
inner man), your courage, your resolution, your memory, your emotions and
passions, your very soul becomes affected, if you don’t guard against
this. This sickness is a rubbing, a
wearing away at, causing you to be afflicted, to become grieved, weary, weak,
and diseased even! It means to put to pain and/or to be wounded. All this results from Hope being deferred,
delayed or removed from you.
Conversely, WHEN the desire cometh it is a tree of life! Desire is the longing of one’s heart, a
delight, a wish, a pleasant thing. When
that thing or object of desire comes, arrives, when it enters upon the scene,
when it comes to pass and you attain to the very thing you have longed for, the
result is it is a gallows for you to hang your sorrow upon! It brings Life! It brings joy, merriment, and
a springing up. It is fresh flowing water for your parched soul. It revives you
and brings sustenance to your soul.
Is it any wonder that various writers of the
books of the Bible have exhorted their readers not to lose hope? Look for example:
Psalm 27:13-14 I had fainted, unless I had
believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the
LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on
the LORD.
Joshua 1:7a Only be strong and very courageous, Take
courage therefore, and be very valiant, Just be determined, be confident and
The message puts it this way: Give it everything you have, heart and soul.
Isaiah 41:10 (GW)
Don't be afraid, because I am with you. Don't be intimidated; I am your
God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will support you with my
victorious right hand.
Galatians 6:7-9 Do not be deceived and deluded and misled;
God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by
mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He
inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God] For whatever a man
sows, that and that only is what he will reap. For he who sows to his own flesh
(lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and
destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal
life. And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and
doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we
do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
Hebrews 10:23(AMP) So let us seize and hold fast and retain
without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it,
for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.
Hebrews 10:35 (AMP)
Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a
great and glorious compensation of reward.
Habakkuk 2:3 (CEV) At the time I have decided, my words will
come true. You can trust what I say about the future. It may take a long time,
but keep on waiting-- it will happen!
I encourage you,
exhort you not to let go of your dreams.
Do not lose hope. I had
despaired, wondering if I would ever see my beloved Africa again. And now I
have spent 3 wonderful, wooly, and wild weeks there! Not only am I happy and my heart satisfied as
with a long cool drink of water, but the fruit of my labor in His vineyard is
so sweet! God has opened doors and
hearts wide open. Miracles happened,
impact that we may only know to the full extent, on the other side. So much happened and I am so full, I don’t
know where to start to tell you all the experiences, the miracles, the lives
touched! A woman who had a crippled leg
and foot began to walk without her crutches! It is a progressive healing, she
still limped but couldn’t even put her foot down on the ground before, so I
believe will be totally healed in due time. Demons were cast out and people set
free. A young woman received the ability to read and understand and to be able
to write again, after having lost it. A
baby was dedicated to God. (It was named Nancy Victoria!) There are so many
more instances to share with you! God
gets ALL the Glory. I am in over my head
and loving it!
2Co 4:7 (AMP) However, we possess this precious treasure [the
divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that
the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God
and not from ourselves.
I have been requested to come to So. Africa July 29-Aug 5th
to be a key speaker at an Int’l Ministers Conference and workshop! God has already provided the plane ticket and
time off of work. I am expecting the rest to come in for my hotel, food, and
necessary travel shots that are now expiring. I need approximately $600 to complete this
trip.
Then I October I am returning to Nigeria for an even more intensive
time of travel and ministry in multiple villages and cities with a side trip
into Cameroon! I am stretching out in
total abandonment to God for His Will to be done in and through me, and all
these needs to be met. He has surely
shown Himself faithful! I am so grateful to each and every one of you who have
helped to send me back to Africa; my exploits for God are credited into your
accounts as well. Together we are I mprinting the World with the Love of God and
Raising up Leaders, Touching Hearts and Changing Lives! Glory!
Hallelujah to the Lamb, our Saviour, and Our soon coming
Bridegroom! May we keep our lamps full
of oil, the wicks trimmed of soot and debris. Thus, ever burning brightly, ready
and faithful to answer His call upon our hearts and lives. We MUST rescue the perishing, send out the
Gospel light, go ye, get out and BE the CHURCH, the Bible known and read of all
men by the acts you do, the words you say, the lives you lead. I am fired up and the passion hot and burning
bright. Thank you for standing with me
