Hello Dear Ones,
This month we are
going to do a word study. The word is “SPOT.”
God prompted me to look this up and to write about it. Then, just today I got a letter from Apostle
Bobbie Jean Merck who had this to say: “This is to be the working order of His
end-time Holy Spirit in preparing a glorious church for Jesus Christ. The working order of the apostolic is to make
possible and ready a glorious church.”
Our scriptures are Ephesians 5:25-27, Husbands,
love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, So
that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with
the Word, That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor,
without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and
faultless].
Also you might want to look
at: 2Peter 2:13, Jude v. 12 & 23,
James 3:6, 1Tim.6:14, 2Peter 3:14. There are some others also, but we will look
at just these today. The word spot,
spots and spotted are found in these.
Spot has these meanings: A stain,
mark, stain in a moral sense. It also
means a cliff breaker, on which vessels are wrecked. Craggy rocks. (As in Jude 12- These are spots in your feasts of charity.) And Spotted means to spot, to stain to
defile. Let’s steer away from things
that will shipwreck our faith!
To be “without spot” means
without blemish, without bodily defect. 2Peter3:14
(YLT)
“Wherefore, beloved,
these things waiting for, [meaning the Day of the Lord!] be diligent, spotless
and unblameable, by Him to be found in peace…”
Heb 9:14(AMP)
How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His]
eternal Spirit [His own preexistent divine personality] has offered
Himself [without spot] as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our
consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever]
living God?
Christ envisioned the Church before she
ever existed. And He loved her (before
she existed) and gave Himself for her.
Why? Because His expectation is that HE will present this Glorious Church to
HIMSELF! He will bring her before the Father who will in turn “give the Bride”
to her Bridegroom and He Jesus our Bridegroom will receive her/us. Remember what Jesus said to his disciples in
John 14:3?
John14:3(KJV) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I
will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye
may be also.
This is not just for when we individually
die. Yes we will be with Him ( if we are
His.) But it is also that He will come for His Church! His Glorious, Shining Church, made up of
every tribe, and kindred, color and tongue!
Don’t you understand? We must
GO, so that He can COME! And as we seek
the lost, bringing them home to the Father, as we speak the Truth in Love and
build up the Body, as we learn to truly Love, we are doing our part within the
Body to make up a holy habitation wherein He can dwell and we are preparing
ourselves for His return. So, when you
“send me” I am fulfilling both the Great commission of “Go Ye…” and the mandate
to “Prepare ye the Way.” And together,
each doing their part, we are making ready the Bride! Selah!
Rev 19:7(AMP) Let
us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate
and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last]
has come, and His bride has prepared herself. [Psalms 118:24]
Now, let me share a bit more about
the trip. I held 4 Leadership summits if
you will. 1 in Lagos, 1 in Idah, and 2 in Abuja. I taught on “Servanthood Leadership” in
Lagos, on being “Positioned and Commissioned” in Idah, and on getting things in
right order and not giving up in Abuja.
Each one was well received and the leaders and ministry workers were
encouraged, refreshed and situations were addressed (by the Holy Spirit, I had
no prior knowledge of them!) And answers given to some who had unspoken
questions. Praise God, for He such a Wise
God and loving Father!
When they took me to the
market place (in Idah) where the idol was, I became physically ill, and began to wretch
and then cry in a loud wailing. The
grief I felt in my spirit was God’s own heart being so grieved at the deception
and darkness that still gripped the people. I was overcome by the “lostness” and “deep chasm” that I
felt. A previous king maybe 80-100 years
ago sacrificed his own daughter, the Princess- who was a young woman by burying
her alive with nine other young women who were virgins. He did this so he could
win a war against a neighboring tribe that had invaded them. To this day, people do homage and every
morning some kind of sacrifice is made on the steps of the idol. Usually oil is poured, but sometimes
blood. (Yes there are still human
sacrifices done!) After untold minutes
of wailing, then still in the Spirit, I began to tear down the strongholds
there and curse the power of darkness and call the people into the Kingdom of
God. This is illegal; I could have been
arrested on the spot. Indeed there are
young men assigned to guard the idol from any type of harm. And they began to
rush upon us. Rev. Ocheje turned his
head and saw them running towards us.
Then suddenly they just stopped and could not approach, but only watch
as I cried and shouted.
After I left the
village, 2 of the idol worshippers who were at the marketplace came to his
church and revealed they had seen and heard all this, and they were convicted
in their hearts. They confessed they were idol worshippers and repented and
gave their hearts to Jesus. They are now faithfully attending church! Also, in his church was a young woman who had
a demon in her stomach and an amulet placed under her skin as a demonic
charm. While I was ministering at the
altar during the 5 am Miracle Service, she came up for prayer. I did not ask people what was wrong I just
prayed expecting God to show up for them.
She reported later to her pastor (Rev.Ocheje) that when I prayed the demon
left her and that the object under her skin also disappeared!
We serve a Mighty God who is still
doing miracles! Can you shout
Hallelujah?!!
Here is a picture of us at the idol:
Pastor Ben has opened a new branch
church, I am enclosing a picture of that for you. Please pray for the work of the Lord in
Uganda, and also in Nigeria, Gambia, Kenya, India and Pakistan.
I am busily preparing for my upcoming
trip to South Africa. The trip is extremely long I leave Monday evening and
arrive Wed. morning! Please pray for me;
my health, strength and stamina as I will speak that same morning! And pray for
me as I continue to develop the message. I do have some financial needs still
before I go. I am praising God that one of my spiritual sons named Psalm, has
pledged to pay for my hotel, which frees me up to focus on praying in funds for
the other things and for the October trip.
I will share more next month. Thank you for your love, prayers and support!
Love and
Hugs from Tom and me!
P.S. Go back one posting to view a Video from the Apostolic Summit in Idah!
